1.

Prep

Here we will use the “inverted method.” Place the plunger just inside the chamber of the Aeropress. Next, fill your kettle with water and bring to temperature. Ideal for this method is (200 F). Flush the Aeropress filter with hot water & discard the water.

2.

Weigh

Weigh out 16 grams of your coffee beans. We recommend investing in one of these scales for this, but if you don’t have one, it should be about 1/3 cup of coffee beans.

3.

Grind

Grind your coffee to a medium fine size, similar to sand. Place the ground coffee into the Aeropress and tap to settle. Tare the scale.

4.

Bloom

Start your timer and pour just enough water to saturate the coffee, around 30 grams. Wait 30 seconds.

5.

Brew

In a circular motion, pour 200 grams of water into the chamber and stir a few times, add the remaining 50 grams of water. This will bring the water line close to the top. At 3:00, screw on the filter cap. Place your cup on top of the Aeropress and in one motion, flip over and begin to plunge. The plunge should take 30 seconds which should end your brew at the 3:30 mark.
