Produces one 9oz cup
1.
Prep
Fill your kettle with water and bring to temperature. Bringing the water to just before the boil is ideal. Next, place the filter in the V60 and flush with hot water. Discard the water.
2.
Weigh
Weigh out 18 grams of your coffee beans. We recommend investing in one of these scales for this, but if you don’t have one, it should be about 1/3 cup of coffee beans.
3.
Grind
Grind your coffee to a medium-fine consistency that’s similar to sand. Place the ground coffee into the V60. Tare the scale gently shake it to flatten the bed.
4.
Bloom
Start your timer and pour 36 grams of water into your grounds bed to bloom your coffee, swirl, & let the coffee bloom for 45 seconds.
5.
Pour
Pour in slow, small concentric circles to 150 grams. Continue adding water slowly as the water drops, for a total weight of 288 grams. The final brew time should be around 3:30.
